Accessibility statement
Last updated: 13.10.2026
Shofarot Israel – Barsheshet Ribak is committed to giving equal service to all customers, including people with disabilities. This website is built to be usable and accessible to everyone.
Standard
The website is made accessible in line with the Israeli Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Service Accessibility Adjustments) Regulations, 2013, and Israeli Standard IS 5568, which is based on the W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0, level AA. In practice the site is built to WCAG 2.2 level AA.
What is accessible
- The whole site can be used with a keyboard alone, with a clearly visible focus indicator.
- A "Skip to content" link at the top of every page.
- Structured headings, labelled navigation regions and breadcrumbs.
- Language and text direction set on every page (Hebrew right to left, English left to right).
- Colour contrast checked for every text and background combination used.
- Text alternatives for meaningful images; decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
- The enquiry form has a label for every field and marks required fields.
- The graphic size ruler has a text table behind it, and all sizes are also in a plain table.
- Text can be enlarged to 200% without losing content, and the site works on phones.
- The site respects the system "reduce motion" setting and has no flashing or auto-playing content.
How the site was tested
Every page, in Hebrew and English, was checked with an automated testing tool (axe) at desktop and phone sizes, and checked by hand for keyboard navigation.
Known limitations
- The press articles are scans of newspaper pages from 1960–2009 (PDF files). If you would like the text of an article, contact us and we will send it.
- The films are embedded from YouTube and come from broadcasters; some do not have full captions.
- Designs in the catalog are identified by item number. For a written description of a design, contact us.
- The downloadable printed catalog (PDF) is a scanned document. All its content – designs, sizes and item numbers – is also on the catalog pages of this site.
